About Me

Hi, I’m Nicole! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addictions in the state of Florida. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Edinboro University and I am trained in the Gottman Method and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). I have years of experience in a variety of counseling settings and have had the privilege of supporting children, adolescents, adults couples, and families through some of life’s most difficult times. My approach to therapy is person-centered, strength-based, and solution-focused. I believe in meeting people where they are, providing emotional support, and helping them tap into their own resilience as they navigate life’s challenges.

In 2013, I made the move from upstate New York to sunny Florida with my husband and our two sons. Outside of work, I’m a huge sports fan—especially when it comes to the Buffalo Bills! I also love staying active, whether it’s through exercise or unwinding at the beach.

I’m excited to share that I’ve recently partnered with Float On Counseling to provide even more support to our community. This collaboration allows me to expand my reach and offer additional resources to those on their journey toward healing and personal growth. Check out the Meet Our Therapists page to learn more about Float On Counseling!

My Approach

I use a strength-based, person-centered approach, focusing on your strengths to find meaningful solutions. My style is warm, supportive, and non-judgmental, offering a safe space to feel heard and understood.

I utilize a variety of evidence-based techniques including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Helping you identify and change negative thought patterns that impact emotions
    and behaviors.

  • Solution-Focused Therapy: Working together to find practical solutions to current challenges.

  • The Gottman Method: A research-based approach to couples therapy that focuses on building communication skills, trust, and emotional intimacy.

  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART): A powerful, evidence-based therapy to help you quickly overcome trauma and distressing memories.
